Common Questions of a Las Vegas Wedding

We get it, getting married isn’t something you do every day. In fact, its probably something you’ll only get to do once in a lifetime. So when it comes to questions, nothing is out of the ordinary for us to hear. In this blog post, we will tackle the most frequently asked questions about getting married at Love Story Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas.

  • Where do we start?

The first step in getting married anywhere in Las Vegas is to obtain your marriage license (not required for vow renewals or commitment ceremonies) from the Clark County Marriage License Bureau which is located at 201 E. Clark Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89101 (which happens to be a convenient 2 minute drive from our chapel). You and your future spouse must show up in person with proper identification, submit application, and pay the license fee of $102 in order to obtain the license. More information can be found at their website

  • Do you marry people like in the movies when they are drunk and don’t remember?

No. Marriage must be entered into solemnly and soberly, so if there is any question whether you are of sound mind we cannot perform the ceremony.

  • Is it legal/will it be recognized in my home state?

Yes! If you have your marriage license from the Clark County Marriage License Bureau then we are legally marrying you. If you are from out of the country you must consult with your local marriage clerk to see what else would be needed (Apostille).

  • Can we get married 24 hours?

Yes, though our chapel is only open 8am to midnight daily, we can accommodate ceremonies any time of day or night. Our phones are always on, as long as you have your marriage license we can perform your ceremony.

  • Can we get married somewhere other than inside the chapel?

Yes! We have an array of Private Elopement Pop Up Wedding Packages. We also can come to your hotel room or home and perform your ceremony there.

  • Can we use our own minister?

Yes! You can absolutely have whomever you want perform your ceremony. We will perform the legal portion to make it official.

  • Can Elvis marry us?

Yes! He can sing you down the aisle and sing within the ceremony as well.

  • What other fees are involved?

None. Thats all, no hidden charges or mandatory gratuities. Though we are always accepting of tips if you feel we have exceeded your expectations, they are not required.
