Coronavirus Hiatus and what you can do to help

Times are uncertain. And in these days, many of us are left feeling helpless. Whether you are planning your wedding or not, today’s blog discusses what you can do to help out your family and community!

  1. Support Small, order take out from your favorite restaurant or leave a rave review on google. As an emerging small business ourselves, we live and die by our reviews. But people live such busy lives its hard to find time in the moment. So do it now. When the quarantine lifts, it will give businesses like us an extra boost of confidence and web traffic, And while you’re at it…

  2. Give Thanks to the people around you too. Call your mom or your bestie and thank them for all the things they do, or something really special they did once. Tell your children how lucky you are to be their parent. Live in gratitude (and it probably wouldn't hurt to carry that tip forever).

  3. Non-Profits: Times are tough for everyone, but tougher for some. While we experience this together, lets look out for each other. If you don’t have the means to donate or if you aren’t healthy enough to volunteer, just talking about your favorite non-profit (shout out to The Just One Project, Three Square, Veterans Village, and Project Marilyn) gives them free publicity. And it gives your family and friends something to think about volunteering for in the future. Which brings us to our final idea.

  4. Plan for the Future-One of the blessings in this chaos is mindfulness. I know I’ve been spending a little less time planning out our normally busy weeks and more time in the day to day moments. But it is important to keep looking towards the future, planning birthday parties and holiday events. We will get back to normal soon (perhaps with altered interactions and some extra face-mask accessories), but it will happen. And when it does, we will be here to celebrate together.
